Japan

How to order a car from Japan?
Step 1.
Your Request Contact us via the website or any convenient messenger. Tell us what car you are looking for: model, desired condition, grade, mileage and budget. The manager will select an option from recently sold car statistics and provide a price estimate.

Step 2.
Signing the Contract You will need a photo of your passport and registration. The contract specifies all search criteria and the final cost of the car. It can be signed in the office or remotely.

Step 3.
Selecting and Purchasing the Car The manager sends you options for approval. When buying at auction, we rely on the auction sheet with data on first registration, mileage, grade and notes. We also check the car's bidding history, as auction sheets sometimes differ in their remarks.

Step 4.
Payment You have 3 banking days to pay for the purchased car.

Step 5.
Delivery Approximately 3 weeks after the Japanese side receives payment, your car will arrive. You will receive a notification with the vessel name and estimated arrival date. Before the vessel is assigned, a photo inventory from the port of loading will be sent to you.

Step 6.
Customs Clearance Upon arrival, customs issues payment receipts for the duty at the current euro exchange rate. If the rate has dropped since purchase, the duty will be lower; if it has risen, slightly higher. Processing takes an average of 10 business days.

Step 7.
Obtaining SBKTS and EPTS Documents After customs clearance, we collect the car and take it through the testing laboratory. Document issuance takes 2–5 business days depending on workload.

Step 8.
Receiving the Car You can pick up the car from our lot or arrange delivery to your city.

What does "unsold" or "sold by negotiation" mean?
"Unsold" means that during bidding the seller's minimum price was not reached — the owner set the threshold higher.

"Sold by negotiation" is a situation where the minimum was not reached at auction, but we can contact the auction after it ends and make an offer. The auction contacts the owner, and if our offer suits them — the deal goes through. In this case the auction commission will be 11,000 yen.
How do Japanese auction bidding work?
A day before the auction, the manager sends you current options for the upcoming auction. We show lots at this moment because information can change — lot numbers, photos, and even the cars themselves may be removed or added.

Bidding principle: bids increase only when there is competition. If several of our clients are bidding for the same car, the one who set the highest budget wins — even if the car sells for less.

Example: You are willing to pay 1,000,000 yen, another client — 1,100,000 yen, and the car sells for 950,000 yen. The client who set 1,100,000 wins it but pays only 950,000. This prevents artificial price inflation between clients of the same company.

Tender auctions (NPS, LUM, ORIX, ZERO, Nissan) work differently: bids are fixed, and the highest bidder wins. Results are announced in the evening, except for Nissan — there results are visible immediately.
How do Japanese auctions differ in strictness?
Japanese auctions differ in how strict their inspectors are when grading cars.

STRICTEST: TAA (Toyota), Honda, Nissan, NAA — cars sell for more, but grades are maximally objective.

MEDIUM STRICTNESS: CAA, USS, Mirive, JU, KCAA, LAA — prices are usually lower, grades may be more lenient.

TENDER AUCTIONS: NPS, LUM, ORIX, ZERO, Nissan — operate on a special fixed-bid system.

The same car at different auctions may receive a grade of 3.5 or 4 — this depends on the inspector's subjective assessment and whether the car was prepared for resale.
Do you work through intermediaries?
No! We fully control every stage:
• Purchase — our specialists personally participate in bidding at Japanese auctions
• Delivery — we work directly with major sea carriers
• Customs — clearance is handled by our own customs brokers

No intermediaries, no hidden markups. You get transparency and control at every stage — from selecting a lot to receiving the keys.

• Competitive prices through direct work without intermediaries
• Control at every stage — from purchase to delivery

From which port are the cars shipped?
We work with trusted sea carriers. The port of departure depends on the location of the auction where the car was purchased. The nearest port is usually chosen — this reduces internal costs in Japan and speeds up dispatch.
How long will the purchase and delivery take?
Purchase can take from one day to two months — it all depends on your requirements and budget. Rare or specific cars take longer to find.
How to find out the real condition of a car?
Every lot comes with an auction sheet — a detailed description of all the car's strengths and weaknesses. This is your protection against unpleasant surprises.

WHAT THE AUCTION SHEET CONTAINS:
• Year and month of first registration
• Actual mileage
• Overall condition grade
• Detailed diagram of all body defects
• Interior condition
• Inspector's notes

This document saves your time and gives you the most complete picture of the car before purchase. Our specialists will help you correctly interpret all designations and make the right choice.

QUALITY HAS IMPROVED DRAMATICALLY
In recent years, Chinese manufacturers have made a true breakthrough. For example, Geely acquired Volvo and implemented Swedish safety and quality technologies. The result is impressive.

SECONDARY MARKET IS GROWING
Chinese cars have become popular, so selling them on the secondary market is now much easier. Demand is growing and supply is quality.

LOWER DEPRECIATION
Thanks to the high quality of modern Chinese cars, they depreciate less when resold compared to previous generations.

LONG SERVICE LIFE
Many owners do not think about reselling at all — good Chinese cars can be driven for a long time and with pleasure, without constant repairs.
Where are Chinese cars purchased?
NEW CARS — FROM OFFICIAL DEALERS
We work only with authorized dealerships. This guarantees the authenticity and condition of the car.

ORDER DIRECT FROM THE FACTORY
If the required model or trim is not available at the dealer, we can order the car directly from the manufacturer. This takes more time but guarantees you get exactly what you want.

USED CARS — ACROSS ALL OF CHINA
For used car searches we use a network of verified agents across the country and specialized online platforms.

KEY DIFFERENCE FROM JAPAN
China has no auction system for selling cars. This means a more individual approach to each transaction and the opportunity for detailed inspection before purchase.
